10/6/14

In Math class today, I handed back your test that you took on Thursday of last week. The test grades were a little lower than I expected, and it had to do with reading/following directions. To help make up for the lower test grades, I am allowing you to re-do the open responses and #9 from the test. That is your homework tonight. Everyone had something to improve upon for those questions, and it will help improve your grade on the test. Reminder that if your grade is below a 70% that it must be signed by parent/guardian.

During class, we worked on more order of operations using the integer rules from Friday. We also independent read. We will be moving on to combining like terms and Distributive Property for the remainder of the week!

In Algebra class today, a lot of you finished your Chapter 2 test from class on Friday. We started Chapter 3, and began solving equations in class today. A majority of this should be review from last year, with the exception of some of the more challenging Distributive Property ones and variables on both sides! For homework tonight, you will complete Page 148-149 #11-35 odd, and 37-43 all.
