10/21/14

Hi All!
In math class today, we finished our discussion on solving equations involving decimals. We began discussing how to solve equations with fractions. We learned that to "clear out" the fractions, you must multiply the whole equation by the common denominator. Please check the resource section of the blog for a video that shows how to "clear out" the fractions. For homework, you must complete Page 305 #1, 2, 5, 6, 14, 15, 16. On the last blog post, I posted a picture of the page in the book, just in case you forgot your book at school! (I know...no need to thank me!!)

In Algebra class today, we finished our station work from yesterday on solving equations involving decimals. We also worked in pairs on some challenging word problems. We will be going over the word problems very quickly tomorrow, and the top two pairs in each class will get some bonus points on their Chapter 3 test! For homework, you must finish the station work from class today if you did not finish.
