Answer Key--Pre-Algebra Test Review

Answer Key--Algebra test review

Week of December 21, 2015

Hi All!

Today in both Algebra and Pre-Algebra, we reviewed for our tests that are tomorrow.
Algebra: Test is on chapter 5, which is writing equations in slope intercept form, standard form, and point slope form. You began a review sheet in class and need to finish it for homework. I will be posting the answers by 3:45.

Pre-Algebra: Test is on graphing linear equations using a table, relations and functions, slope in a table, on a graph, and using the slope formula, and graphing using slope intercept form. You began a review sheet in class. I will be posting the answers by 3:45.

Tomorrow, you will take your tests. There will be no homework over the winter break. Enjoy! :)

Algebra 1 Review Answer Keys

Thursday, 12/10/15

Hi All!

Today in Algebra, we reviewed for our quiz tomorrow. We worked on a problem involving fractions in our ordered pairs, to make sure you can complete a problem of that level of difficulty tomorrow on your quiz! We also did a geometry problem involving parallel and perpendicular lines. For homework, complete worksheet titled "Writing Linear Equations in Slope Intercept Form". If you would like extra practice with the geometry problem complete Page 289 #48-50. I will be posting the answers to all of this in a few minutes.

In Pre-Algebra, we finished up our discussion on slopes on a graph by discussing horizontal and vertical lines and their slopes. We drew Mr. Slope Guy and talked about how this drawing may help us with slopes of our lines. We learned how to find slope in a table. For homework, complete worksheet titled "Linearity worksheet #3". You will be having a quiz on Wednesday on all of the ways to find slope.

Answer Key to Yellow or Green Review Sheet Algebra 1

Wednesday 12/9/15

Hi All,

In Algebra today, we discussed the relationships between perpendicular lines. We will continue our discussion tomorrow, and also prepare for our quiz, which is Friday. Topics on the quiz include: Writing equations of lines given slope and y-intercept, writing equations for lines given slope and a point, writing equations of lines given two points, parallel and perpendicular lines relationships, and word problems related to writing equations. Your homework tonight, leveled either Yellow or Green, will help you to prepare for the quiz that is Friday! Look for a new blog post with pictures of my answer key!

In Pre-Algebra today, we discussed finding slope on a graph, as well as horizontal and vertical lines. We will continue our discussion of slope on a graph, and move on to slope in a table tomorrow in class. For homework tonight, complete the vertical and horizontal lines worksheet. Please use your notes to help you!

Thursday December 3, 2015 and Answer Key to Review Sheet for Pre-Algebra Quiz

Hi All!

In Algebra today, we wrote equations in slope intercept form when we were given a graph or when we were given the slope and y-intercept. We played bingo to practice writing equations.
HOMEWORK: Page 276 #12-25

In Pre-Algebra today, we reviewed topics for our quiz tomorrow by doing a scavenger hunt! Students had time in class to work on the review sheet.
HOMEWORK: Finish review sheet and study for your quiz!

Below are pictures of the answers to the review sheet for the quiz tomorrow in Pre-Algebra:

Wednesday, December 2nd

Today, Algebra took a test on Chapter 4, which involved graphing linear equations, slope, and x and y intercepts. No homework tonight! Get ready to start chapter 5 tomorrow! :)

Today in Pre-Algebra, we practiced graphing equations using a table of values. We worked on the last example of graphing equations that are not in function form. For homework tonight, you must finish your classwork. I WILL BE COLLECTING THIS FOR A GRADED ASSIGNMENT SO TRY YOUR HARDEST! Don't forget to use a ruler!

Pre-Algebra students, you have a quiz on Friday. Topics include: Determining whether a relation is or is not a function (notes on page 39-40 in notebook), Determining if an ordered pair is a solution to a graph, table, and equation (Look at the activity we did on Monday in class!), and Graphing linear equations that are and are not in function form (notes on page 41-44 and classwork from the last 2 days!)

I will be after school to review with Pre-Algebra tomorrow until 3pm.
