Hi All!
Today, we set up our interactive notebooks for the year. This is a 5-subject notebook! There were some students who did not set them up because they didn't have them today. Please set it up over the weekend! Email me with questions: april.eringis@tyngsboroughps.org. I am so excited to get things rolling!
In Green class, we started solving one step equations today. We reviewed homework, and began taking notes on multi-step equations. For homework, make sure you cover your text book!
In Purple, Red, and Blue class, we reviewed integer rules. We practiced on our white boards. You do not have any homework.
I hope you had a fabulous first week of your 8th grade year! Please enjoy the long weekend. Spend time with friends and family! Do something fun to share with me on Tuesday! :)

Updates and Homework
Hi All!
Today, we worked together in groups to complete the 100 math task. We discussed what it takes to work in a group successfully. We went over the syllabus and expectations of math class for this school year.
Reminder: tomorrow we will be putting together our interactive notebooks. You must bring your 5 subject notebook and your math folder to math class tomorrow.
Homework:
Green Class: Page 8 #5-13 odd, 15 & 16, 17-29 odd. Make sure you color your cover page for tomorrow, too!

Welcome Back!
Hi All!
Welcome back to school for the 2017-2018 school year. I am so excited to get started. Today, we discussed how failure and success are related. We did a group activity involving matching famous people with their failures. We then talked about perseverance, and the powerful word "YET!"
For homework tonight, please read the course guide and information page. Show your parents the course guide and the growth mindset handout. Please sign the course guide, and have your parents sign the course guide, letting me know that you all read it!
Reminder: Supplies for my class, including a math folder designated ONLY for math, and your 5 subject notebook, are due on Thursday so that we can set up our notebooks!
