Updates Week of January 25, 2016
Hi All,
Here is an update for the week, as well as any big upcoming assignments for the week.
In Algebra, we finished our discussion on linear inequalities. We reviewed on Tuesday, and our test is Wednesday. Homework for Monday and Tuesday night--Complete review sheet to prepare for the test. We will be working on domain and range for the rest of the week.
In Pre-Algebra, we finished our unit on writing linear equations. We worked on scatter plots, best fit lines, and correlation on Monday. On Tuesday, we worked on point slope form. Wednesday will be a review day, and then the test is Thursday. I will be after school Wednesday for review to help prepare you for your test. Homework Monday was a worksheet with 2 scatter plots and asked to find the best fit line. Tuesday's homework was to complete a worksheet on point slope form (only complete #1-12). Wednesday night's homework is to finish the station work from class to help study for your test that is Thursday. After the test Thursday, we will begin our unit on linear systems.

Algebra students took a quiz today on inequalities. Grades are in parent portal if you would like to see how you did! No homework tonight!
Pre-Algebra students reviewed today for their quiz tomorrow on writing equations in slope intercept form. You received a review sheet for homework tonight. Check the blog for a new post with answers to the review sheet. Come into class tomorrow with any questions you have on the homework.

Hi All!
Here is what is going on this week in math class:
In Algebra, we are working on compound inequalities. We have been working on word problems related to these, as well as determining the difference between "and" and "or" compound inequalities. We will having a quiz on Wednesday on sections 6.1-6.3. Topics include: solving and graphing inequalities, solving and graphing compound inequalities, word problems related to inequalities and compound inequalities. We will be reviewing in class on Tuesday. You will receive a review sheet on Tuesday night for homework, and I will post the answers on the blog for you. After your quiz on Wednesday, we will be working on graphing inequalities with 2 variables, x and y. This topic will be covered for the rest of the week!
