Enrichment Activities

Hi All!

I just wanted to send an update to you. Starting on Monday, March 23, your team of teachers will be posting daily enrichment activities for you to complete! Although these activities are not required, we feel they will help you stay academically focused during your time away from our classrooms! I hope you are enjoying your time off, and that you are staying safe and healthy during this time.

Weekly Update

Hi All!

Monday Classwork and Homework: We started our discussion on section 9.4 Changes in Dimension. For classwork, we started a partner practice worksheet. For homework, finish the partner practice worksheet. A reminder that you got your new ALEKS assignment that will be due Sunday by midnight, just like usual!

Tuesday Classwork and Homework: We continued our discussion on 9.4 Changes in Dimension. We went over the practice from yesterday that you finished for homework last night. We did another practice page, that I collected for a classwork grade. For homework, complete Page 700 #1-3 on a separate piece of paper! Test for Chapter 9 is Tuesday of next week!

Wednesday Classwork and Homework: We will work on 9.5 Polygons on the Coordinate Plane. We will take notes on 9.5, and then do some practice problems around the room! For homework, you will complete Page 709 #1-7. Remember that you have ALEKS that is due on Sunday by midnight! Test for Chapter 9 is Tuesday of next week!

Thursday Classwork and Homework: We will finish our discussion on Polygons in the Coordinate plane. We will go over the homework, and discuss any questions you still have! We will then begin our discussion of 9.6 Area of Composite Figures. Your homework will be to finish up the opening classwork activity for 9.6. Test for Chapter 9 is Tuesday of next week! ALEKS due Sunday by midnight.


Friday Classwork and Homework: We will work on 9.6 Area of Composite Figures. We will take notes on 9.6, and then complete a group challenge activity! There is no homework for tonight, besides that ALEKS is due Sunday by midnight. Test for Chapter 9 is Tuesday of next week!

Weekly Update

Hi All!

Yesterday, Monday, we began our discussion on area of two-dimensional shapes. We started with chapter 9.1, area of a parallelogram. We took notes, and then did problems around the classroom! For homework: Page 667 #13-23. ALEKS due Sunday by midnight.

Tuesday Classwork and Homework: We worked on 9.2 Area of a Triangle. We took notes and then played online BINGO! For homework, Page 679 #13-22, ALEKS due Sunday by midnight. Quiz Friday

Wednesday Classwork and Homework: We will work on 9.3 Area of a Trapezoid. We will take notes and then play ZAP! For homework, Page 691 #15-23, SKIP #18 & 19, ALEKS due Sunday by midnight. Quiz Friday

Thursday Classwork and Homework: We will review for the quiz that is Friday. You will work on the review sheet in class. For homework, complete the quizizz for review. Use code: 663436. Check your answers to your review sheet on the blog! I will post the answers by 3 pm on Thursday.

Friday Classwork: You will take a quiz on area of parallelograms, area of triangles, and area of trapezoids. After your quiz, you will start an introduction activity for 9.4, Changes in Dimension. Only homework will be to finish ALEKS that is due on Sunday by midnight.

Hi All!

Here is what we have going on this week:

Today in class, you worked on your review sheet. You need to finish it for homework tonight. I will attach the answers to the bottom of this post. UPDATE: I MADE AN ERROR ON #10====ANSWER SHOULD BE 120, not 130!!

Wednesday Classwork and Homework: We will work in class on word problems related to Ch 7, Solving Equations. Your only homework Wednesday will be to check your answers for your review sheet and make sure you are prepared for your test on Thursday.

Thursday Class and Homework: Test Ch. 7 is Thursday! Homework is a video and a couple of questions. You will get this assignment after your test. VIDEO CLICK HERE

Friday: We will start Chapter 9, which is how to find the area of a parallelogram.

Homework Monday: Page 517 in the Volume 2 Math book

Homework Tuesday: Solving Equations worksheet--finish from class

Homework Wednesday: Finish word problems from class

Reminder: ALEKS due Sunday at midnight, Chapter 4 test corrections due Tuesday of next week.

I will be available on Thursday after school until 3pm to help with test corrections.
