WEEKLY UPDATE!
Hi All!
This week, we will be finishing Chapter 6.
Reminders for the week:
Ch. 5 Test corrections due Monday of next week!
Ch. 6 Test is Tuesday of next week!
Monday: I handed back a lot of papers! We worked on the properties of addition and multiplication. HW: Page 477-478 #1-15.
Tuesday: We worked on the Distributive Property today. I will be posting a video to help you, in the resources section! HW: Lesson 6 Skills Practice
Wednesday: We will work on Equivalent Expressions today. We will combine like terms to simplify expressions. HW: finish color by number activity from class
Thursday: We will practice combining like terms and distributive property today. HW: Ch 6 Test Review Sheet
Friday: We will begin working on a project for Ch. 6 material! This project will be due on Wednesday of next week, and you will have time in class on Friday to work, and after the test on Tuesday of next week.

Week Update and ANSWER KEY FOR REVIEW SHEET CH 6 QUIZ!
Hi All! We have had shortened classes a lot this week due to NWEA testing, so I apologize for not updating the blog.
Here is what has been going on!
Monday: NO SCHOOL!
Tuesday: NWEA Testing--We completed a 21 star activity and then had a leveled homework assignment on Order of Operations (10-12 questions!)
Wednesday: We worked on 6.3, which is evaluating algebraic expressions. We did a leveled classwork assignment. For homework, completed page 453-454 #1-15
Thursday: NWEA Testing--We completed 6.4, which is writing algebraic expressions. For homework, complete your review sheet (ANSWER KEY POSTED BELOW!)
Friday: NWEA Testing--Quiz on 6.1-6.4. NO HOMEWORK OVER THE WEEKEND :)

Hi All!
I am still not feeling well, and will not be in class today. Here is what you need to do for the day!
1.) Go to this video (make sure you have headphones) and watch: ORDER OF OPERATIONS VIDEO
2.) Get a copy of 6.2 Notes from the substitute.
3.) Use your book, page 442-444 to complete the notes.
4.) Complete the guided practice on page 444 and then the independent practice on page 445-446 #1-12.
Anything not finished is homework!
For WIN Today:
1.) Go to this video (make sure you have headphones) and watch: READING A LINE PLOT VIDEO
2.) Using the image below, create a frequency table for the line plot. Then, calculate the mean, median, mode, and range of the data. Do all of your work on a separate piece of paper. Make sure your name is on it, and hand it in to the substitute when you are finished.
3.) When you finish, you can do homework/work for another class.

Your test for Chapter 5 is tomorrow! I am holding an after-school review session today until 2:45/3pm. The answer key for your review sheet has been posted in the previous post below! You should be ready to go for tomorrow!
HOMEWORK TONIGHT: FINISH REVIEW SHEET! CHECK YOUR ANSWERS ON THE BLOG!
Some students took the optional review sheet I gave in class today for extra practice! This is not required for homework, but here are the answers, in case you want to check! Remember, #2 did not print/copy correctly so you can just make a number line and pick one of the choices to graph on the number line.

Today, we worked on section 5.4, which is on terminating and repeating decimals. We practiced writing decimals as fractions, and fractions as decimals.
