Google Doc for Recipe Project

Here is the link for the project: GOOGLE DOC FOR RECIPE PROJECT

Remember, when you open the document, click "File" and then "Make a Copy".

You have to do this for both the first recipe, and the second recipe.

Rename the document -- Your First Name, Your Last Name, Recipe 1 for the first recipe and then same thing, only Recipe 2 for your second document!

Example name: April Eringis Recipe 1 and then April Eringis Recipe 2

Today we worked on dividing mixed numbers. For homework, students must start their review sheet for their test on Thursday. Please see the post from Monday and Tuesday with information about the test and an upcoming project!

Monday and Tuesday Update

Hi All

Yesterday, Monday, we worked on word problems involving division of fractions. For homework, you should have completed the worksheet #1-18 on division of fractions.

Today, we worked on using fraction diagrams to divide fractions. For homework, you have a timed assignment on ALEKS. You must be on for 25 minutes. You should all have your login information!


Reminder: Chapter 4 test is Friday. I will be available for extra help on Thursday until 3pm. You must have a ride at 3pm, or there is a late bus at 4.

Topics for Ch 4 test:
Multiplying and dividing fractions and mixed numbers

Next week, we will be doing a 3-day project involving cookie recipes! :) There will be a permission slip sent home about an optional baking cookie assignment for Friday of next week (12/21!) Parents, look out for the permission slip being sent home.

Thursday Update

Hi All!

Today, we took a quiz on multiplying fractions and measurement conversions. The grades have been uploaded into gradebook! They were awesome, as a whole! Nice work!

For homework tonight, you must go onto ALEKS for 20 minutes.

Weekly Update and Answer Key for Review Sheet

Hi All!

This week has been crazy for me, so I apologize for not posting sooner!

This week, we have worked on section 4.5, conversion measurements. We started the week on Monday with using rice and containers for cups, pints, quarts and gallons to show the relationships between all of them! Today, we worked on the notes for 4.5 and practiced setting up unit ratios.

For homework, complete the review sheet to prepare for your quiz on Thursday. The review sheet will be checked on Thursday for a grade.

We will not have regular classes tomorrow, as it is a half day, and we will be watching "Freak the Mighty"! I know how excited everyone is to see the movie! :)
